One recent trend that is taking the liquor industry by a storm is the pink trend. Pink cider, pink tequila, pink vodka, pink wine and even pink gin. The drinks industry has become obsessed with pink drinks and it seems like the millennial pink trend isn’t going away anytime soon. Pink liquors you can find at a local liquor store in Burnaby get their distinct pastel pink color from the mixture of clear and red liquids. Such is the case of pink gin. In these wines, the skin is left on the red grapes for a short period of time only, so the pigment from the red grapes do not have the time to completely immerse in the liquid. Traditionally, grapes with their skin on ferment for weeks, hence the red color on some wines.  Some liquors such as pink tequila get their light pink hue from being aged in a barrel.
